Bible Question (short): needed surgery verses elective |
Question (full): If it's ok for us to have heart transplants, pacemakers, artificial knees etc. Which I understand are life saving, is God against a woman getting a tummy tuck? I know God says not to tatoo or cut our bodies for the dead, but, if walking around with overhanging extra skin makes us unhappy is it wrong to go have a plastic surgeon repair it? Are we only allowed to have surgery if it's threatening our lives? Everyone has some concerns about their bodies. We have our hair done, we like to be in fashion, we dress nice , lot of people wear contacts instead of glasses, all these things have to do with our outward appearence and it doesn't mean we focus more on ourselves then we do on keeping our eyes on God. Would God love me less because I want to look good, especially for my husband? Because I am not happy with my body I hide myself from my husband and this hinders our relatioship. He has also expressed how nice it would be to change my look. We both feel it would improve our intimate life. I'll be waiting to hear from you. Thank you |
