Bible Question: What is the difference between "apostasy" and "heresy"? I know this question was asked previously on this forum. A good partial answer was given. Could someone give a more specific answer to this question? I.e., a more specific defintion of "apostasy" and "heresy" would be appreciated. Nothing wrong with the previous answer. It just didn't go far enough in defining apostasy and heresy. Apostates and heretics are similar, but there are well-defined differences. Can anyone explain to me what those differences are? |
Bible Answer: 2 thess 2:3 a falling away from (apostasy). a revolt against not a slow differential in other words against, not just moving away from the faith.Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander whom I have delivered unto Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme 1 Tim1:20 .Heresy is some one who professes to be in faith also but by reason of there teaching brings evidence against them selves showing them selves not as in the faith but trying to prosalatize into another 2Peter 2:1-3 trying to be a part of .love your brotherin Christ rcscroll |
