Subject: Because he betrayed Jesus? |
Bible Note: I like to emphasize to people with whom I'm studying to convert or strengthen their new life as a christian is the tremendous contrast between Peter and Judas. All of us are human and are guarenteed of not coming anywhere close to meeting God's standard for Perfection, like His Son did. The important thing for us to remember, both these men and all the other disciples failed Jesus miserably, just like we all do. The main difference between the two is: Peter recognized his faults, "brushed himself off" and got back up on that journey with his Lord whereas poor Judas just couldn't handle what he'd done in spite of his Lord's willingness to forgive him. Yes, good question. Blessings to you. Country Girl |
