Subject: what is the purpose of the resurrection? |
Bible Note: Just a note on the God of the living? Matt 22:23 Luke 20:38 "Now He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for ALL LIVE TO HIM." I know that we have our predisposed beliefs already. I hope to share without attacking. Moses died and his body was never found, I can't assume He was ressurected but the possibility exist because I do know God has the ability to resurrect. In jude 1:9 the archangel is recorded as having argued for the body of Moses. Elijah we know was taken upto heaven in a firey chariot. There is no record of Him Dying. Could these men of great esteem have followed the path of Enoch, who did not see death.(Heb 11:5), but was taken to be with God. Immortality has never been attributed to anything but God in 1 tim 1:17. In fact after the fall the Lord decided we could not eat of the tree of life and live forever.Gen 3:22 Then the LORD God said, "Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, he might stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"-- The tragedy was that Satan had seperated man from God through sin. Sin that is accomplished brings forth death (james 1:15)But through Christ death has lost it's power we are no longer bound and seperated from God. (1 cor 15:55-57) As Solomon was tormented by thinking that the end result of man was death, but today we have an assurance that Christ will make us alive in the spirit, Bringing us to God. (1 Pet 3:18). He promised this Life at the sounding of the Trumpet (daniel 12:1,2). I hope this message is encouraging to you all. 1 Peter 1:13 "Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, FIX YOUR HOPE COMPLETELY ON THE GRACE TO BE BROUGHT TO YOU AT THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST." That is Truth, Amen |
