Bible Question:
Jesus told the leper to tell no man what had happened between them both, but show himself to the priest and offer the gifts as Moses commanded. Is this text saying that, before Jesus died He kept the law of Moses, offering up the sacrifices that would later be fulfilled in Him? Or is it saying that He taught others to keep the law and not Himself? We know He never sinned so what's the point of Him killing lambs? I guess if He did it, it was for conscience sake as well. Help me out somebody.(Gal 4:4; Matt 8:1-4) |
Bible Answer: humility, Jesus had to be living by the law,His life was an open book for all to see. For him not to live according to the law would have been counter productive to His ministry. One thing though. Jesus would not be offering up the sacrifices being there was no need for him to do do at the time. What He told the leper to do was in accordence with the law. He wouldfulfill that once and for all at the cross. In Him, lionheeart |
