Bible Question:
Hi Nolan, Going back to the subject again. Is Steve also saying that we (men and women in the church) need the pastor's permission to "reach out to others through inviting our neighbors for a Bible study"? I think we have THE LORD'S permission to do that. In fact I think we have His command to reach out to others, whether to invite them to a Bible study or to share the gospel in some other way. So I'm going back again and asking the same old same old. Why would a "believer" need any man's permission or blessing to do just that? |
Bible Answer: Hello There, Good question.. I'm going to have to side with you on that question, since we do not need any man's approval to start a Bible Study or to go out and witness or pass out tracts. If this is so, then I have violated this many times! :) No, there is no scripture at all that states that we must have someone's permission or blessing to have a Bible Study, even though having a pastor know about it taking place certainly couldn't hurt. We most certainly have the LORD's permission to study His Holy Word on our own! I agree with you on this and disagree with the idea that we need a pastor's "OK" to do this first.. Blessings! Nolan |
