Bible Question: Please discuss what advantages there may be in each: a "literally accurate" translation and an "equivalent" translation which uses a certain amount of paraphrase. Is one more reliable than the other? --Hank |
Bible Answer: Hi Hank ,in regards to your que on different translations. The first literal, would be the one in which you would want to study from, you would find more study helps commentary etc,not to exclude concordenses. The ones with paraphrase are generally just as reliable ,the only differance being that they use a thought by thought vs by vs rendering usally with a bit better understanding.BUT" don't have as many study helps love in Christ RCScroll |
