Bible Question: Can you help me understand the Trinity? |
Bible Answer: Hi Mel...Many parts of the bible are divided in 3's, including us and the trinity..God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. It took me a while to grasp how one person could have 3 different identities and then I realized that (1). He is not a person and (2). I myself am a mother, a daughter, a wife, a sister, a co worker, etc yet I am only one. I play a different role in each. Even though God's identities are far greater and He actually can literally divided Himself into 3 diffrent roles, this analogy gave me a better understanding as how one being can be many different things.I only wish I had the power to do what He can do, my life would be much easier ;) You have to understand that God can not see sin, therefore could not see us as we are all sinners. I believe that when we become saved our soul is seperated from our body (Like a spirital circumcision) and if Jesus is in our hearts God the father sees his son and His Holy Spirit in us. Even when you pray you pray "to" the Father "through" the son "in" the spirit. This is the best way that I can try to explain the way the 3 are seperate, but are all one at the same time. It can be a bit confusing...but if you think on it for a while, it really all makes perfect sence. I hope this helps some. When I said that we are also a trinity read Genisis 2:7 where it talks about God creating man. Read also Galations 4:6 and John 14:8 |
