Bible Question: Does God give mercy on unbelievers when they are judged? In dating an unbeliever, I have began to research the Bible, yet have came across different answers. |
Bible Answer: God as far as I know will not have mercy on the unbeliever. The unbeliever has been given every chance to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior but have denied Christ. I refer you to 2 Corinthians 6:14 - "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship is there between light and darkness?" Verse 17-18 goes on to say "Therefore come out from them (unbelievers) and be separate from them, says the Lord and touch nothing unclean; and I will welcome you, and I will be your father, and you shall be my sons and daughters says the Lord Almighty". Paul urged believer not to form binding relationships with unbelievers because this might weaken their Christan commitment, integrity, or standards. Although we believe that we can stand strong in out commitment God knows us better than we know ourselves. He said what he did because He knows we are weak and can easily be deceived. |
