Bible Question: What is Justification Propitiation? |
Bible Answer: Mel, Propitiation and atonement are synonymous. I think I answed this in a question you asked a few days ago. We are justified or made righteous (made innocent and children of God) in God's eyes by the atonement or propitiation of Jesus, the perfectly innocent one's passion and death for us sinners. He was made sin to be sin for us (2 cor 5:21) ( bore the burden of sin: death)for us so that we might become innocent and just. See 1 Peter 3:18; 1 John 1:7; 4:10. Emmaus |
