Bible Question: Thanks, there is a lot of good information there. Easy questions? No! How about..... Why is the doctrine of the Virgin Birth so important? |
Bible Answer: Where have you heard that it is very important? The people who say such things also probably say that there are some things in the Bible that are not important. But Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him (Proverbs 30:5). Someone may tell you that the Virgin Birth was necessary to ensure Christ's sinlessness, etc. I suggest that you accept it, along with the story of Jonah and the story of the flood, simply because God's word says it. It really does not do to subject the word of God to the judgment of your puny mind. Trust in the Lord and believe his word. If he tells you to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and if he promises you salvation for it, then believe him too. Believe everything he says. |
