Bible Question: What is the Darby translation |
Bible Answer: A translation first published in 1890 by John Nelson Darby, an Anglo-Irish bible teacher associated with the early years of the Plymouth Brethren. Darby also published translations of the Bible in French and German. It's a well respected translation. John Darby was a staunch defender of Christ, and though I personally disagree with his views on eschatology (he was a PreMill dispensationalist), he was quite a theologian that left us over 50 volumes of work. |
