Bible Question:
Acts 5:31. God exalted jesus to his right hand. Phillippians 2:9. God exalted him to a superior position. If jesus had been God, how could jesus have been exalted,or raised to a higher position. If before his exaltation, jesus had been equal ti God, exalting him any further would have made him superior to God? |
Bible Answer: In Gen 3:15 God first speaks of Jesus in the flesh, John 1:1 describes Jesus becoming flesh,so I believe that is why God exalted Jesus back into his position in heaven at His righthand. Jesus became our substitute on the cross so that we would be redeemed from Hell. He always had a choice but He loved us in a way our human minds cannot understand. The sacrifice Jesus made didnt begin on the cross it began in the garden when He knew some day He would be betrayed by people who said they loved him, He would be beaten starved and abandoned, He would pour out His blood and become every sin-every disease-and physically be so deformed He would become unregonizable as a man and then go into hell and face satan. He did all of that with a promice that our heavenly father would call Him out of Hell which had never been done before. So when God turned away from Him for the first time they were seperated and later He was restored His place in heaven next to our father and between us and the father God and man togather as promiced to Abraham in covenant. This is just my opinion! |
