Subject: Is suicide a sin, will you go to hell? |
Bible Note: Angleface, please note all the references given by inmyheart. It is right on. One truly born again of the Spirit of God will be with God in heaven regardless of their sin. Their salvation if of God and not of themselves (John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name, John 1:13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.) There is a difference in a person who has head knowledge and perhaps even goes to church and a truly born-again Christian. I'm reminded or the Great Blundee who lived in the 1850s who stretched a cable across Niagra Falls and walked across. As the crowds began to dwindle he and his manager decided they needed to do more to draw crowds. He practiced rolling a wheel-barrow across the cable and planned for the unveiling of his new improved act. When the day finally came he walked out on the rope and pricked the interest of the crowd. His manager asked who thought the Great Blundee could wheel someone across the cable in a wheel-barrow. The crowd went crazy yelling Yes, Yes. The manager then said he needed only one thing - a volunteer. There was a dead silence and all that could be heard was the wind and roar of the falls. The manager stepped forward and got into the wheel-barrow and Blundee wheeled him across. This little story illustrates an important difference. The crowd believed with their head that Blundee could accomplish the feat. His manager knew with all his heart that he could. The point is have you totally surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, believing He is who He said He was - God in a human body coming to die for our sins. |
