Bible Question:
I have a friend at work who reads his bible daily. He has anger and malice in his actions. My question is -- Can someone with anger and malice in them read and understand the bible? May GOD bless you all. Your brother in Christ, Remodeled |
Bible Answer: You might want to study Galatians 5:19-21 which shows that "fits of rage" are "acts of the sinful nature" and such persons "will not inherit the kingdom of God." However, Ephesians 4:26, 27, 31 tells us: "'In your anger do not sin': Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry" and "get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger." So, evidently, although you say this person is reading the Bible every day, maybe he's not reading and reflecting on these verses so as to control his angry actions! (See Psalm 106:32, 33; Genesis 4:5-8; 49:7; 34:7; 1 Timothy 3:3) stokeyhk. |
