Bible Question:
Are you saying the tribulation saints are going to live twice? I think the scenario you suggest is that people would become believers during the tribulation, be killed for their belief and go to heaven but then they will return with Christ to live and die during the Millennium. I don't think so, if we look at Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,". While I know Hebrews 9:27 was written to cast down the belief in reincarnation I think it is still very applicable to this situation. |
Bible Answer: If one means to interpret Heb 9:27, as many honest and sincere folks do, to mean that every individual must die once and only once, this is easily refuted by our general knowledge of the Bible. In his Study Bible, John MacArthur comments on Heb 9:27: "to die once. This is a GENERAL RULE for all mankind. There have been very rare EXCEPTIONS (emphasis mine) (e.g., Lazarus and the multitude who were resuscitated at Christ's resurrection died twice; compare John 11; Matt 27). "Another exception will be those who don't die even once, but who will be 'caught up...to meet the Lord in the air' (1 Thess 4:17)" (MacArthur Study Bible, Word, 1997). |
