Subject: Can you lose your salvation? |
Bible Note: Romans 3:28 (HCSB) For we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from works of law. When establishing the truth of a matter, what YOU or I believe is of no consequence. NOTHING is true because you or I believe it to be true. One's salvation or lack of it, as well as one's security/assurance or lack of it, has nothing in the world to do with works. Good works are the RESULT, not the CAUSE of salvation. You write: "either heaven or hell it's up to your works Rev 22:12." Citing Rev. 22:12 in an attempt to prove that salvation or the believer's security is a reward for our works is absurd. Eph. 2:9 (NLT) Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Neither our salvation nor our security is a REWARD for anything that we have done. |
