Bible Question:
It says a few times in the bible to be careful not to lose your salvation. I thought that "once saved" is "always saved". Any comments. Thanks! D.D.1961 |
Bible Answer: Many times the Bible refers to people falling away. Hebrews 6:4-6 states that it is impossible to restor one that has fallen away after tasting the heavenly gift and have shared in the Holy Spirit. The parable of the Sower in the Gospels is another good example. The seed that falls on the rocky ground represents christians that get choked out and fall away. We do need to remember, however, the parable of the Prodigal Son which is found in Luke 15. Even though his son had wandered away, the father was ready and willing to accept him back. In the same way our Father in Heaven is ready and willing to accept us back when we stumble and fall, |
