Bible Question: What's the best advice you can give someome (a Christian) who is goint to marry a Catholic? Is it wrong to marry in the Catholic Church? Should the marriage be in a "Protestant" church? What other things need to be considered under these circumstances? Thank you in advance for your advice and input. Blessings! |
Bible Answer: The Catholic church does have something to say ... JMR, they do allow one to marry outside the Catholic faith. However, they do require that the children be raised in Catholic faith. This is based on what my wife knows. She grew up a Catholic. Her sister married a Mormon--this happened to them. The basic consideration is that both need to be believers or both must be unbelievers. There are people in both camps, Protestant and Catholic. Hope this helps, Searcher |
