Bible Question: How do we know the Bible is the truth? |
Bible Answer: Hi David Wayne, In John 18:38 Pilate says to Jesus, "What is truth?" He was speaking to Him and he was asking "What is Truth?" Pilate knew of a truth that Jesus was innocent yet he acted against his knowledge. My desire is for you not only to know the truths of the bible, but to know the Truth, the Son who will set one free. John 8:32-36. "So if the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed." John the baptist testified of the Truth, but he didn't really know him. John 5:35, "He [John] was the lamp that was burning and was shining and you were willing to rejoice for a while in his light." My desire is for all to know the (Light) of the world. Jesus said in John 5:36, "But the testimony which I have is greater than the testimony of John; for the works which the Father has given (Me) to accomplish --the very works that I do--testify about Me, that the Father has sent Me." What great works He has done. And He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. My desire is that you might have His word available in you and that you "believe Him whom He sent." John 5:38 Know and believe the Truth. Later, Ray |
