Subject: What do you object to? |
Bible Note: Yes, those are the three I was referring to. But if we are only talking about their belief in the power of words, will that belief keep anyone out of heaven? What I have learned over the last (mainly) two years is that my opinions, my thoughts, my beliefs are not going to change anyone else's. Someone gave me the best advice I have ever received "if it's not one of the essential elements of salvation, then let God take care of it." I don't disagree that you, and many others, feel that "word of faith" teachers and believers have it wrong. I also don't disagree that many of them believe that there is power in words. I know, or figure, that you can prove your point scripturally. I know that they prove their point scripturally. When I asked you about what you didn't agree with, I meant in the essential issues. Otherwise, I know that you are firmly grounded in your ideas, and I can't say anything to prove you wrong, or to make you see things differently. So there is not reason to go on. If you do have concerns about the essentials, these I want to know. I have never heard any of them teach anything that goes against the "basics" but I also have not heard it all. That's what I am interested in talking about. We have different understandings of different scriptures, but I will concede that I am looking through a dark glass right now. I know that I don't have it all right. Kelkat |
