Subject: Advise on contradictions found in bible |
Bible Note: I completely agree with Schwartzkm. This is not a contradiction at all, but instead is just an example of two different writers giving different details about the same event. It is like the three blind men who encounter different parts of an elephant. The first man finds its leg and says that it is like the trunk of a large tree. The second man encounters the midsection and says that it is like a wall. The third man discovers the trunk and says that it is like a snake. The three descriptions at first appear to contradict each other. But after thought and further inspection they instead each give a valuable perspective that can be combined to give a complete picture. |
