Bible Question:
Searcher - what do you make of the "silence"? Who has been silenced? Has the praise and worship of God ceased? If so, what might God's reaction be to the cessation of worship? mommapbs |
Bible Answer: I have been taught that this is when Jesus according to Matt 15:31, Mark 8:38 and Luke 9:26 returns with all the holy angels. Everyone is with Him, so no one is in Heaven for that time, and that is why there is silence in Heaven. You will note that after this the judgements begin. This could be referring to the rapture of the church just before God's wrath is poured out on the earth since Jesus returns in a cloud. See Luke 21:27 Cloud represents angels or group. i.e. cloud of witnesses in Heb 12:1 But it could also mean that everyone is just being quiet and observing what the angels are doing with the incense and prayers because this is such an awesome moment in that it begins the judgements. Hope this helps. |
