AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 8:1 When He (the Lamb) broke open the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour [in awe of God's impending judgment]. [Zeph 1:7] |
Bible Question: Is it true that seals , trumphets, and bowls happen at about the sametime? |
Bible Answer: Revelation 8:1-2 And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets. There are some that say that the seventh seal, includes the next 7 trumpets, as the seventh trumpet includes the next seven vials, so that they are not chronological and followe each other sequentialy, then there are those that say that the seventh seal revealing the seven trumpets means that it is a repeat summary of events that were not covered in the angels narrative during the first pass of the seals and so he is explaining more things but tranfersing the same ground, and so with the seven vials. I think when you read the events under each that the chronological makes more sense. |
