Subject: who are the 144,000 |
Bible Note: On the subject of 144,000 Revelation 7:4 Then I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000 from all the tribes of Israel. In Rev 7:4 One might ask themselves why were they sealed? And by whom? Revelation 14:1 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. In Rev 14:1 One might ask, who is the Lamb? And why are 144,000 standing with the Lamb. Should not the Angels from the Universe be standing with the Lamb? Also notice it says "his Father's" name is on their foreheads. Could it be that the 144,000 are Angelic souls who have only lived a life on Earth? Born of God not of man? Who only obey the Lamb. Could it be that this is the Lambs Praetorian Guard? The only ones that can be trusted 100per cent with the Lambs security and safety? Could it be that the Lamb is still an incarnate mortal (son of man) and so could not trust Angels from the Universe to Guard him. For the upcoming war in heaven? Revelation 14:3 And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. In Rev 14:3 an example of how powerful the song my be. (The word). |
