AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 2:7 'He who has an ear, let him hear and heed what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes [the world through believing that Jesus is the Son of God], I will grant [the privilege] to eat [the fruit] from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.' [Gen 2:9; 3:24; 1 John 5:5] |
Bible Question: Luke 23:42, Jesus mentions paradise. What is it and where is it? |
Bible Answer: Dear Lungowe, A word search for "paradise" is helpful. Strong's number 3857 paradeisos; of Pers. or. (enclosure); a park, a garden, a paradise:--Paradise(3). Related verses are: 2 Cor 12:4 was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which a man is not permitted to speak. Rev 2:7 'He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will grant to eat of the tree of life which is in the Paradise of God.' Therefore, it is safe to understand it as heaven, Eden - the garden of God as portrayed in Revelation. Hope the above is helpful. Shalom Azure P.S.
