Bible Note: Scripture ... John 3:5, 4:10-15; Eph 5:26; 1Jo 5:8 ... Let us review ... Rev. 19:6 actually compares the voices of a multitude with the "great waters" AND "mighty thunders" ... so ... does it mean that "mighty thunders" are also a symbol of people? ... how are the "great waters" and "mighty thunders" related? More examples if figurative water: John 3:5 "Jesus answered, 'Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.' Eph 5:26 "That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word" 1Jo 5:8 "And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one." If you don't like these (including ones previously cited), read John 4:10-15. Is Jesus talking about literal water? Searcher |
