Bible Note: Scripture ... Rev 16:4-5, 19:6 ... David, I commend your study ... continue to search Scripture. Revelation 17:1, 15 is the only place where the sea or waters (NASB) Hudor (Strong's 5204) where it says it is "peoples and multitudes and nations and tongues". One could say the 19:6 also applies ... but there is mighty thunderings also. My point is that in the other figurative references do not imply "people, nations, multitudes and tongues" fits. Therefore, to say it does is not always correct. Others have tried to say sea/waters mean "people, nations, multitudes and tongues" ... all I need to do is to show one case where what they is is wrong. Now from the NASB ... Rev 16:4-5 "And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of water s; and they became blood. And I heard the angel of the water s say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus." Rev 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many water s, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. When you study, forget all you have read what man has said ... and start afresh, with an Interlinear Bible and lexicon. Then compare what man said to see if what they said is so (Acts 17:11).
