Bible Note: Her reply part 2: If you are a Christian and had not known that the seventh day of the week is actually the seventh-day of the week and not the first day, God will not hold you accountable for that lack of knowledge if you had no opportunity to know it. Today, God has given the Sabbath truth to Christians, but most of them say, no it is Jewish, it ended at the cross, Christ kept it and then destroyed it at His cross, so it is not part of the New Covenant for Christians. Is that really so? Matthew 5:17-19 indicates the opposite. He did away with the Levitical ceremonies at the cross, but not His Law summed up in the Ten Principles of the Ten Commandments. If that is so, then there is no sin, for there is no law. And you can do as you please and still gain heaven. We have the law of love now. All you need to do is love one another. The Gentiles do that, brothers and sisters! There are those Christians who say that the Holy Spirit was not available until Pentecost. But Christ was led of the Spirit and so were the prophets of old. Moses had wished that all of could be prophets.... I wonder if he was frustrated or what. David prayed that the Holy Spirit would not be taken from him, but would be restored to him, when he realized his great sin against God. But now, the saying is, that The Old Testament itself is done away with, that all we need is the New Testament, or else, no, all you need is the Holy Spirit, and it supercedes the Bible today. That is like saying, if you believe the Bible and follow it, you are not receiving the Spirit of God. Now how can that be? You all are confusing me very much as to what you all believe. I am not claiming to know more than the rest of you, you all seem to be pretty intelligent as far as that goes. :) But I am praying for you all and hope that you intelligently see what I see. And I am sorry that I have gotten carried away this time. God knows the reason why I have done this. Blessings to you, Shelley |
