AMPLIFIED 2015 | Revelation 1:1 This is the revelation of Jesus Christ [His unveiling of the divine mysteries], which God [the Father] gave to Him to show to His bond-servants (believers) the things which must soon take place [in their entirety]; and He sent and communicated it by His angel (divine messenger) to His bond-servant John, |
Bible Question: I asked about the 5 crucified and I understand what a Lutheran should believe. I want to teach my children right. I know that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were the Apostles. They each had a Gospel to tell. Each tell that there were 2 others crucified, if there were more would they each not say that there were more? Also in todays judicial definitions Theives and Robbers are different. In the time of Jesus was there really a difference in the title? I think that they were 2 in the same and that there were really only 2 others crucified, else the Apostles would of mentioned something to set the facts. Right? |
Bible Answer: 1.Judas hung himself. 2. Peter crucified head down Rome 66AD. 3. Andrew bound to dath in 74 AD. 4.James son of Zebedee beheaded in Jerusalem by sword Acts 12 1through 5. John banished to Isle of Patmos 96AD.6. Phillip crucified at Heirapole Phryga 52AD. 7.Bartholomew beaten crucified then beheaaded by the command of a king 52AD. 8.Matthew slain by the sword in the city of Ethiopia 600AD. 9.Thomas run through by lance at Corehandal East Indies 52AD. 10.James son of Alphaes thrown from a pinnacle then beaten to death 60AD. 11.Thaddeus shot to death by arrows 72AD. 12.Simon crucified in Persia 74AD. Death must come to all what is important is what we live for. Our livers are predestined. The Apostles of Christ with the Comforter and the Spirit of Truth had courage to live their testimonies and shed blood for the truth. They probably would not be able to do this great work of spreading the gospel if they did not really believe that they had seen the risen Lord with their own eyes. I too believe the same thing applies to those today who wants to tell the truth and spread God's word. People seem to follow evil thing or things that are not right. They rather hear a lie. People today have to suffer the consequence of losing their lives for telling about Jesus. I received an e-mail from Asia where people were being captured and tortued for spreadin God's word. It seems today that people get more time for robbing someone than killing someone. Sometimes it seems the law is not for honest people or people trying to live right. John did not die in the hands of wicked men he was promised that he would not taste death. An apostle is the official name of those twelve of the disciples whom Jesus chose to send forth to preach the gospel and be with him during the course of his ministry on earth. I hope this answer helps. God bless you, Crystal Moore |
