AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 John 1:9 If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. |
Bible Question:
Hi, On judgement day, does our Lord Jesus take into consideration sins already forgiven? If so, one can ask for sins to be forgiven at the very last minute before death or judgement day, so that one can have a clean slate and a home in heaven is assured. Your comments, please. With Love in Christ. FytRobert |
Bible Answer: My comment on this is that, only God can answer that. He is the one knew the heart of the repenting person. The thief in the cross is the same as repenting in the last moment of his life but Christ assure him to be with Him in paradise. Lu 23:43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. We also has to consider on what this person repent only two late? Did he has chance to know Christ? but then again did not repent? or is he in the situation that only knew Christ in the very last of his life. But if he already knew the truth and sin wilfully, and then repent in the last moment. Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, God only can answer that, because as the said: Heb 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: God bless, |
