Bible Question:
I often hear "you must forgive yourself", but I have not found any Scripture that addresses "forgive oneself". Please let me know your view on Self forgiveness and where you find this in the Bible. Thanks! Pat S. |
Bible Answer: Hi Pat, InGodITrust said it right. I just wanted to add a scripture or two. Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. and 1Jn 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Don't let that old liar the devil convince you that you are not forgiven for the times when you blow it. You are. Stand in His blessings cheri |
