Bible Question: how we ofend others with our mouths |
Bible Answer: Greetings wkmaloff; The bible tells us that "the toungue gets out of control. They are restless and evil and always spreading deadly poison." James 3:8. "It only takes a spark to start a forest fire. The tongue is like a spark. It is an evil power that dirties the rest of the body and sets a person's entire life on fire with flames that come from hell itself." James (3:5b-7) We not only can offend others with our mouths but the bad words that come out of our mouths can make us unclean also (Matt 15:11). The words that come out of your mouth come from your heart. And they are what make you unfit to worship God (Matt 15:18). We must truly be careful of what we say at all times. We can hurt others with what comes out of our mouths. We can speak curses on others with our mouths. We can destroy a soul and we can even lead others away from God with our mouths. The words that come out of our mouth should always be acceptable to God and honor Him. prayon |
