NASB | James 3:2 For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to bridle the whole body as well. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | James 3:2 For we all stumble and sin in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says [never saying the wrong thing], he is a perfect man [fully developed in character, without serious flaws], able to bridle his whole body and rein in his entire nature [taming his human faults and weaknesses]. |
Bible Question: Do you think it is possible for a Christain to go for a period of time(a day)and not sin. I ask this because I hear so many people(churches, RC Sproll sp?)say we sin every day in word thought or deed. It weem so flippant to say well we all sin every day...But don't we have the power to overcome sin. We are no longer slaves to sin but to righteousness. God provides a way out of temptation so that we can bear it. |
Bible Answer: Is it possible for a Christian to go one day without sinning? "For we all often stumble and fall..." For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if anyone does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature.
