Bible Question: When a person is dead and hasn't accepted Chirst is there still a chance of them getting into heaven. My dad was telling me about God's mercy overcoming that and I'm thinking that His mercy is all over once we have died. Thanks, whiplash |
Bible Answer: Hi whiplash, The teaching of scripture is that there is no salvation apart from Christ. Remember Jesus 'own words in John 14:6, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 17:3 gives the biblical definition of eternal life: "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." Further, Heb. 9:27 tells us that, "And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,". There are no "second chances". Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
