Subject: The Old Covenant lingers? |
Bible Note: That is a beautiful passage. I am sure you must have been thrilled to hear it. Little words like “But” and “Now” can have such an impact! For example, we were dead in trespasses and sins ... "But God who is rich in mercy ..." (Ephesians 2) and, what if the dead rise not? "But now is Christ risen ..." (1 Corinthians 15). The work of Christ on the cross, with all of its ramifications, is an accomplished fact. As he said, “It is finished”. Praise God. |
