NASB | Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained the testimony that he was righteous, God testifying about his gifts, and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered to God a more acceptable sacrifice than Cain, through which it was testified of him that he was righteous (upright, in right standing with God), and God testified by accepting his gifts. And though he died, yet through [this act of] faith he still speaks. [Gen 4:3-10] |
Bible Question: If the offering is not the reason, then why did God have no regard for Cain? |
Bible Answer: HERE IS A PARADOX THAT WE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND THE SOVERINTY OF GOD.GOD HAS THE RIGHT TO CHOOSE WHOMEVER AND WHATEVER HE PLEASES, FOR THE SIMPLE REASON THAT HE IS GOD. IT SAYS IN THE BOOK OF ROMANS , WHO ARE YOU OH MAN TO QUESTION THE THINGS OF GOD. WE CAN ALSO REFER TO ROMANS 9:11-13WHERE THE LORD LOVED JACOB AND HATED ESUA. EVENTHOUGH THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG YET THE LORD STILL CHOOSE BETWEEN THE TWO. |
