NASB | Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality--faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. |
Bible Question: Is faith the same as believe or are they in principal having the same meaning but have a different degree of understanding? |
Bible Answer: Faith is having the understanding that what you cannot see, feel, touch or understand CAN exist. Belief is having the understanding that what you cannot see, feel, touch or understand MAY exist. in otherwords with faith you may not KNOW how it will happen, but you FEEL(believe) it is possible. Faith is confirmation, conviction, knowledge. belief is hope, wish, thought, want. |
