Bible Question: Mormons point to Heb. 10:26 and say that it means we can lose our salvation if we deliberatly sin. Is that what this vs means? |
Bible Answer: Hi faith forever Hey let me just say when you purposely sin after having believed and after having been included in Christ yea you are insulting the Holy Spirit the one who counsels you and you are trampling over Jesus, where'd the sacrifice go And this be a terrible thing when you do stuff on purpose, to fall into the hand of God Daddy going to spank you harder, ouch! Now where all disciplined The Bible says so and this is how we all learn and like we read discipline is never pleasurable but painful but in the end your better for it thank God If you go a little further down to Hebrews 10: 38-39 But my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back; my soul has no pleasure in him What are you not doing? your not pleasing him What do we live for now? to please the Father But "We are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed" "We are not destroyed" (but our attitudes should be) of those who have faith to the preserving of the soul This is my security Eph 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation--having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Eph 1:14 who is given as a pledge of our inheritance up until the day of redemption we are God's own possesion! Now why was everything written down for us? Now these things occurred as “examples” to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did 1 Corinthians 10: 6 and verse 10 these things happened to them as examples and were written down as warning to us as everything else we read whats good whats not good, "To keep us from setting our hearts on evil things" Than it says If you think you are standing firm be careful that you don’t fall Always be watchful faith forever God bless! |
