Bible Question: What does this verse mean and how is it applied today? |
Bible Answer: I believe that it tells us that if you are made aware that some action you do is a sin but choose to continuously ignore the teaching you are rejecting Christ and God's most precious gift. There is but one way to salvation and that is through Jesus Christ. He is the only way to forgiveness and eternal life. When you turn your back on Him there only remains the "fearful prospect of judgement and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries" (Hebrews 10:27). One way this can be applied today is if you are in a religion that does not believe in Jesus Christ and you reject the truth, and choose to stay where you are at, you have closed the only door to salvation there is. |
