Bible Question: I am confused. There is a lady that I go to church with who is going crazy. She is not only a wife, she's a mother of 2 teenagers, she also plays a big role in church, and she is a loner. The other night we were praying and her husband asked that we pray for her and he spoke on some of the things that he is worried about. She got upset with him because he spoke about their buisness in front of others. Now, see I am confused. I thought we were to help others. I thought we were to pray with others. I mean I know myself, if I can't carry the burden alone then yes I give it to the Lord, but sometimes I want others to help pray with me. Am I wrong for that? I was told that NOT putting our burdens on others shows a maturity in Christ? I DON'T UNDERSTAND. |
Bible Answer: Greetings, We can pray for someone and their needs without being specific because God knows exactly what the exact problems/needs. In the case of this woman the prayer could of been "Lord, we pray that you will supply _____'s needs. Give her strenghth and the courage to stand strong Father through the trials she is now facing......" prayon |
