NASB | Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more as you see the day drawing near. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking our meeting together [as believers for worship and instruction], as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more [faithfully] as you see the day [of Christ's return] approaching. |
Bible Question: Do you have to be a member of a church in order to do Gods work? |
Bible Answer: Hello brabhamcharlene, Lionheart gave a good answer, so I will add just a bit more. God's people have always been in community when serving him. That is by design. The Holy Spirit enables each person with a gift for use within the body of believers for mutual edification and encouragement. That is impossible when doing those things alone. Even NT mission work was accomplished in groups of two or more. Steve |
