NASB | Hebrews 10:1 For the Law, since it has only a shadow of the good things to come and not the very form of things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually year by year, make perfect those who draw near. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Hebrews 10:1 For since the Law has only a shadow [just a pale representation] of the good things to come--not the very image of those things--it can never, by offering the same sacrifices continually year after year, make perfect those who approach [its altars]. |
Bible Question (short): How did Jesus escape hell? |
Question (full): How did Jesus death on the cross and temporary separation from God justify the debt of eternal damnation that was set for man. If what he did on the cross was equivilent to etenal damnation how did Jesus get back to the rght hand of God? Why was his sacrifice for eternal damnation temporary and to those who will be lost eternally permanent? |
