Bible Question: Can a pastor be relieved of his duties for false teachings and not paying his debts? |
Bible Answer: Dear TKK, There are Biblical grounds for his never having become a pastor in the first place. However, as to whether he can be relieved would depend on your particular denomination. You will have to inquire there. It is probably documented in a church constitution (often such constitutions are required by local laws in order for the church to retain tax exempt status). However, some churches have allowed demagoging to occur. It just depends. I'd be real sure of your facts, however, proceeding. Rebellion is a very sobering thing to consider. In Him, Doc |
