Bible Question:
What are the definitions for "evangelism" "mission"? What are the difference? Thank you |
Bible Answer: The word evangelist comes from the Greek word "euaggelos" which means "bringing good news." The good news in scripture is the gospel. The word mission is not a scriptural one. (However, the word ministry is often used, which is where we get our word deacon.) I should think that a mission is the task of evangelism. Perhaps others have better definitions. |
