Bible Note: Doc, I've already stated that I am not a fan of Joel, I've got 2 people following his weekly TV show that I'm wanting to get them away. I think I have one now that is only watching cos it creates a bond with her real-life sister (whom I'm not personally friends with yet). What I'm saying is that the person who is truly called of God to come will eventually find that Joel's teachings are greatly lacking and they will seek the Word elsewhere (Was it a terrible thing that Joel got them started?) For the ones who go to Joel purely for what they can gain in the world and in the fleshly realm would not hear the true gospel anyway for they are not answering to the call of the Spirit - they are answering the call of their own flesh. (And while Joel and the many others of his genre are touting the fleshly "gospel" they can and probably do keep many from being downright "lawless" and point them to a somewhat higher directive.) I am in no way "for" these guys, I don't think that they are a "great thing" but they do serve a purpose. And to think that someone who is truly called of God to become a child of God could be misled and kept from their salvation in Yeshua by their teachings seems to me to be limiting the power of God's calling and limiting the power and ability of the Holy Spirit to accomplish that work.
