Bible Question:
Hello to all, My post today is mainly for advice, and encouragement. Ever since i gave my life to Christ, it's been beautiful, and i wouldn't want it any other way. I now desire to know more about him, to read his word and spend time in prayer. I know I'm taking the right path because my heart tells me so and so does God's word. I have a problem tho. My husband gives me a hard time about my faith. He sees that i have a drive to know God and read his word, but according to him, i do not have the Holy Spirit. He believes JW's are the only ones who have the Holy Spirit. According to him, I'm doing right in reading God's word, but i'm not taking in accurate knowledge, because what i believe is not from the bible. Honestly, I'm happy in my spiritual life with Christ. He's just very knowledgeable, and his sarcasim towards my faith is what brings me down, but i will never be part of the Watchtower Society! Thanks to all. |
Bible Answer: julcol87, Don't let yourself get discouraged. Your head and heart are in the right place. Stay in the Word and prayer, fellowship with like minded believers and find a strong Word focused Christ centered fellowship. Your husband may be knowledgeable but that doesn't make him right. Look at 2Pt 1:20,21. God's Word has never been and never be about we think but it is and always been about about what He says. Stay strong and I'll be praying for you. In Him, lionheart |
