NASB | 2 Timothy 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 1:12 This is why I suffer as I do. Still, I am not ashamed; for I know Him [and I am personally acquainted with Him] whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity], and I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that day [when I stand before Him]. Subject: Eternal Security is it possible? |
Bible Note: Grace and Truth: So now you're comparing the eternal security of the (human) believer to the angels who sinned! Did Christ shed His blood on the cross for angels or for men? And by the way, Revelation 2:10 is speaking of rewards -- frequently called crowns in the Bible -- not salvation. And, just for the record, where in the Bible does it speak of the security of the angels? --Hank |
