NASB | 2 Timothy 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 1:12 This is why I suffer as I do. Still, I am not ashamed; for I know Him [and I am personally acquainted with Him] whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity], and I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that day [when I stand before Him]. Subject: Eternal Security is it possible? |
Bible Note: Also in 2 Peter 2:20 For if (after) they have escaped the pollutions of the world (through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ), they are again entangle therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. 21 For it had been (better) for them (not) to have known the way of righteousness, than, (after) they have known it, to (turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them). Then in 2 Peter 3:11-17 you must read carefully, vs.11 says; what manner of persons ought ye to be? vs. 14 "be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless. vs.17 "beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness". Now surely you can understand this next verse in Rev.3:5 Jesus said: He that (overcometh), the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and (I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels). If this verse don't make it clear to you then nothing will. You can lose it all with the stoke of his pin! 2 John 1:8,9,11. Matt 24:45-51,25:1-30,7:21-23. |
