NASB | 2 Timothy 1:12 For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Timothy 1:12 This is why I suffer as I do. Still, I am not ashamed; for I know Him [and I am personally acquainted with Him] whom I have believed [with absolute trust and confidence in Him and in the truth of His deity], and I am persuaded [beyond any doubt] that He is able to guard that which I have entrusted to Him until that day [when I stand before Him]. Subject: Eternal Security is it possible? |
Bible Note: Matt 7:21-23 We find those who say Lord, Lord, will not be able to enter the kingdom of heaven! You state, "A failure to grow spiritually can also rob us of the confidence that we are God's children (2 Peter 1:9). But anyone indwelt by the Holy Spirit is secure eternally, because He is the "deposit guaranteeing our inheritance" (Ephesians 1:14)".' How can you say this when you believe that the moment one excepts Jesus into their heart, their saved. And where are these different classes of believers coming from? You say once saved aways saved! Now you say they have to be true believers or true christians, How can that be? You also say that one receives the Holy Spirit the moment they believed, then you say they were not or never really saved to begin with. How is that? |
